उत्पाद वर्णन
SS Coil 317L
Types 317 Stainless Steel and 317L are typically used for elevated temperature applications. Their high nickel and chromium contents impart excellent elevated temperature strength and resistance to oxidation compared to Type 317 SS. Type 317L Stainless Steel is identical to Type 317 except for a lower carbon content that minimizes carbide precipitation and improves weldability. They are essentially nonmagnetic as annealed and become lightly magnetic when cold worked.

FAQ's of Stainless Steel Coil 317L:
Q: How is the Stainless Steel Coil 317L typically used in industrial applications?
A: Stainless Steel Coil 317L is widely utilized in environments exposed to chlorides and halides, such as chemical processing equipment, power generation plants, pulp and paper manufacturing, food processing, and petrochemical industries due to its superior corrosion resistance and durability.
Q: What surface finishes are available for Stainless Steel Coil 317L, and how do they benefit end-users?
A: Finishes such as 2B, BA, No.1, No.4, and Mirror are available. These options allow users to choose according to functional needs or aesthetic preferences, offering enhanced cleanability, improved corrosion resistance, and an appealing look for high-visibility installations.
Q: When is it advantageous to choose 317L over other stainless steel grades?
A: 317L is preferred when equipment is exposed to aggressive substances, particularly chlorides and halides, as its low carbon content and high molybdenum ensure better resistance to localized corrosion compared to standard grades like 304 or 316.
Q: Where can I source Stainless Steel Coil 317L in India?
A: This grade is supplied by numerous dealers, distributors, exporters, fabricators, importers, manufacturers, producers, retailers, traders, and wholesalers across India, making it readily available for a range of commercial and industrial projects.
Q: What is the process for ordering custom-sized Stainless Steel Coil 317L?
A: Customers can specify desired coil length and width-ranging from 500 mm to 2000 mm in width and 4-5 mm in thickness-when placing an order. Most suppliers can accommodate custom length requirements to match project specifications.
Q: How does the property of corrosion resistance in 317L benefit equipment longevity?
A: Its excellent resistance to chlorides, halides, and other corrosive agents significantly reduces the risk of pitting and crevice corrosion, leading to extended equipment service life and lower maintenance costs over time.
